Ashley Nauta

Ashley Nauta, Assistant Principal

As Assistant Principal of Bee Cave Elementary, I bring over a decade of dedicated service in education, marked by a commitment to student success and instructional excellence. Currently entering my sixth year as an Assistant Principal at Bee Cave Elementary, I have had the privilege of contributing to our school community's growth and development.

My journey in education began as a classroom teacher, where I taught both first and third grades. This hands-on experience provided me with invaluable insights into the foundational years of a child's education. As a Math Specialist and Instructional Coach, I honed my skills in curriculum development and pedagogical strategies, ensuring that every student received a high-quality education tailored to their needs.

Equipped with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas State University, I transitioned into administration with dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. I strive to collaborate closely with our teachers, leveraging my expertise to enhance instructional practices and curriculum alignment.

In addition, I am also a mother to my daughter, Lucy, who is approaching her second birthday this year. I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Bee Cave Elementary, where I am dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our students and community.

Rida Ortego

Rida Ortego, Assistant Principal

Hello! I am thrilled to continue my journey as Assistant Principal at Lake Travis ISD. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of serving students in diverse educational programs and grade levels, including monolingual, bilingual, and dual-language classrooms ranging from Pre-K through 4th grade. Additionally, I have held leadership roles as Principal for Pre-K/K Summer School and Assistant Principal for Elementary and Middle School Summer School programs.

My passion for learning led me to obtain a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas in 2019, along with my Principal as Instructional Leader (EC-12) certification in 2020. Additionally, I hold certifications in Early Childhood-4th Grade, Bilingual/ESL, and Secondary Spanish 6-12.

Originally from Manati, Puerto Rico, I moved to the U.S. at age five due to my father's military service. I have lived in various locations, including Paterson, New Jersey, and Madison, Mississippi, but Central Texas holds a special place in my heart as it is where I grew up, married, and raised my family. When not at work, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our three sons, daughters-in-law, and grandpups.

I am committed to serving the students and families of Bee Cave Elementary, and I am excited to continue contributing to their growth and success as we move forward together.
